Temong and SerDev, contracted by The Impact Catalyst on behalf of the IDC, employed 1,200 trainees across various projects. After the initial 8-month phase, 670 trainees received extended employment for an additional 6 months. These trainees were involved in our livestock projects across the Free State, North West, and Gauteng provinces. In Edenville, we employed over 300 trainees for vegetable farming, cattle farming, Katbos eradication, and fencing repairs. In Kroonstad, 150 trainees were engaged in waste recycling and town cleanup initiatives. We were also privileged to work with women from all districts in the Free State, supporting their interest in chicken farming. Many of them successfully transitioned into vegetable cultivation, producing outstanding results.

This project ended in 2023
