Garden of Eden Community Upliftment and Food Security Project

Since 2019, SerDev has trained numerous community members in food cultivation for food security. Despite Edenville’s limited water resources, this initiative has been highly successful. Currently, over 400 members are actively growing vegetables in the community. The IDC has provided significant funding for a cornerstone project, “The Garden of Eden,” through their Special Intervention Programme. This project will be carried out on land leased from Sernick. Additionally, Seda Kroonstad, in partnership with SerDev, will establish seven primary cooperatives and a secondary cooperative to market the produce.
