Empowering Farmers for a Brighter Future

In July, SerDev, in partnership with SEDFA, proudly hosted two successful sessions of a 3-Day Farm Management course in Kuruman. The first took place from the 15th to the 17th, followed by the second from the 23rd to the 25th.

The course shone a spotlight on the importance of effective business management in farming, equipping participants with essential skills to run their enterprises with confidence. Farmers learned how to manage their finances, set clear business objectives, and develop production plans that align with their goals. They also gained practical knowledge on producing the right documentation and evidence needed for funding opportunities—critical steps toward sustainable growth.

The impact was tangible. Farmers left the sessions inspired, expressing heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to learn skills that bring them closer to becoming successful commercial farmers. By the end of the training, they weren’t just equipped with new knowledge—they were ready to apply it, turning their visions for thriving farms into reality.
